The following is from a relatively self-explanatory slideshow depicting the humble origins of the Dance Radio Network LLC.

The acronym DRN for Dance Radio Network tells the tale of how the dance music movement originated on a small high school radio station (WMPH) between New York -- Washington DC and Philadelphia -- Baltimore. With smart marketing and promotions, pop culture was demanding dance music to be heard.

Dance Radio Network was signing affiliate stations across the country. DRN was a network distributed to affiliates via satellite. DRN was primarily heard on the HD radio allocated sections of terrestrial FM stations.

'Dark' references WMPH being off the air until 1993
WMPH is the high school radio station of Mount Pleasant High School
